Re “Instead of Resisting, Democrats Should Stay Quiet,” by James Carville (Opinion guest essay, March 2):
Mr. Carville’s plan for a “daring political maneuver” for the Democrats — to “roll over and play dead” and “allow the Republicans to crumble beneath their own weight” — is among the worst ideas I’ve ever heard.
The primary failure of the Democratic Party was the absence of immediate and forceful daily pushback to the opposition. Democrats now need to be loud, aggressive and relentless in combating the lies, distortions, false claims and misinformation that have characterized the Republican Party since the rise of Trumpism.
This is not about merely criticizing President Trump in all the familiar ways. It is about continually and clearly providing Americans with the facts as well as the opposing viewpoint. The Biden administration utterly failed in this crucial department.
futsaljogoMr. Carville’s suggestion that Democrats should participate in a “strategic political retreat” sounds, tragically, exactly like what they have been doing. It is the exact opposite of what this period of American history demands.

To the Editor:
Democrats who argue for adopting the political version of Muhammad Ali’s rope-a-dope strategy really do not understand the depth of the political nihilism we face.
That sentiment struck a chord with Chancellor Banks. A series of wide-ranging corruption investigations have enveloped City Hall in recent weeks, ensnaring many top members of Mayor Eric Adams’s administration,66jogo Melhores Slots no Brasil including the chancellor; his partner, Sheena Wright, the first deputy mayor; and his brother Philip B. Banks III, the deputy mayor for public safety.
It took about two more centuries for tacos to travel to New York, where they have settled into every kind of setting and style — street food, fine dining, desserts, Indian cuisine and even as part of an omakase.
This administration is not concerned with losing power as long as it can dismantle the bureaucracy of the federal government before it happens. In the face of such a relentless foe, Democrats will have to stop relying on clever political strategies and show the people they are willing to fight.
